2-Chamber SUV Phantom

The Standard Uptake Value phantom (SUV) is an evolution of our Esser PET phantom with an innovative two-chamber design. We learned from our customers that the existing solutions didn’t meet their needs for an easy-to-use phantom for checking the liability of the SUV value calculations. With just two chambers (one for the background) the vials are guaranteed to contain the same concentration of activity across all sizes. The two-chamber design allows for delineation between samples and ease of use for the technician.

SUV phantoms standardized uptake value which gives the ability for calibrated measurements. SUV scans and algorithms are a great technique for determining the true size and bioactivity of tumors over time and it’s important to have a phantom that can validate that the scanners and algorithms are giving you good numbers you can trust.
